Missing Teeth? Dental Implants in Forest Hill

If you have missing teeth or are preparing for an extraction, our experienced dentists in Forest Hill and Dulwich can help restore your smile and fill the gaps with high-quality dental implants.

Dental implants offer a clinically proven, safe, and long-lasting solution for replacing lost teeth—allowing you to smile, bite, and chew with renewed confidence.

When natural teeth are lost, the surrounding jawbone and tissues begin to deteriorate over time. Dental implants act as artificial tooth roots, stimulating the jawbone to regenerate and maintain its structure. The implant integrates with the bone through a process known as osseointegration, encouraging healthy bone growth and forming a stable foundation supported by blood vessels and surrounding tissues.

Replace Missing Teeth. Restore Your Smile. Regain Your Confidence.

Dr Arman Barfeie believes that no one should have to live without a complete, confident smile.

Single Implants

Dental implants are small, rod-shaped posts that serve as a stable foundation for replacement teeth. Surgically placed into the jawbone, they function just like natural tooth roots—providing reliable support for a crown, bridge, or denture.

Each implant consists of a screw, which is embedded into the bone, and an abutment, which connects the implant to the visible restoration (the crown). Most implants are made from titanium, a biocompatible material that is exceptionally well-tolerated by the body. Titanium allows the surrounding bone to naturally integrate with the implant in a process known as osseointegration.

With proper care and good oral hygiene, dental implants can last a lifetime, offering a long-term solution that looks, feels, and functions just like natural teeth.

multiple Implants

Multiple dental implants can be used to support larger bridges, making them an effective and economical long-term option for replacing several missing teeth in the same area. By placing two or more implants, a stable and durable bridge can be secured, restoring both function and appearance.

Who Can Have Multiple Tooth Implants?

At my Clinic, the procedure is suitable for most patients. Age and gender are generally not limiting factors when considering multiple tooth implants. Your dentist will assess your individual oral health and bone structure to determine the best treatment plan for you.

Implant Retained Dentures

For those looking to replace many missing teeth affordably, dentures secured by dental implants offer a significant improvement over traditional removable dentures.

  • No need for denture adhesives, pastes, sticky gums, or powders — your dentures stay firmly in place.

  • Implants help preserve your jawbone, maintaining your facial structure and preventing bone loss.

  • They reduce wrinkles around the mouth by restoring lost lip support, helping you look younger.

  • Enjoy improved chewing ability, allowing you to eat all your favourite foods and truly enjoy mealtimes again.

  • Implant-supported dentures are secure and comfortable, eliminating embarrassing moments caused by loose or slipping dentures.

In many cases, a lower denture can be securely anchored with just two conventional implants, delivering a life-changing improvement in both function and confidence.

Teeth In A Day

The All-on-6 dental implant technique is a groundbreaking procedure that allows patients to arrive at the clinic in the morning and leave the same day with a fully fixed temporary set of teeth.

This innovative concept was developed to minimise the number of implants needed to restore an entire arch (jaw) of teeth, enabling the temporary restoration to be securely fitted to the implants on the very same day. In contrast, traditional implant methods typically require 6 to 12 implants and involve a lengthy healing period before a permanent bridge can be fixed—often resulting in higher costs and longer treatment times.

The science behind the All-on-6 technique involves placing the two front implants straight into the front of the jawbone, parallel to the original teeth. The other four implants at the back of the jaw are inserted at an angle of approximately 30 to 45 degrees compared to the natural root positions. This strategic placement provides firm overall support, distributing chewing forces evenly across the jawbone from the denture or bridge.

Did You Know?

  • Dental implants help prevent jaw shrinkage and collapse, preserving your natural facial structure.

  • The extended healing process ensures implants are securely integrated into the bone, providing a strong and stable foundation.

  • With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime, offering a permanent solution for missing teeth.

What Are the Benefits of Dental Implants?

  • Protect your surrounding teeth and jawbone

  • The closest alternative to your natural teeth

  • Can last a lifetime with proper care

  • Restore your ability to eat, laugh, and smile with confidence

How it All Works?

The implants we provide are placed within the bone, making them structurally identical to your natural teeth. This can protect the bone, maintain tooth alignment, help with chewing and avoid facial changes. Dental implants are the best-known treatment to replace single or multiple missing teeth because they feel and behave just like natural teeth. You won’t be able to tell the difference, and after a while, you’ll likely forget they’re even there.

The implants we use are made from titanium, the most widely used material in implant dentistry. Our implants are clinically proven by some of the most in-depth research in dentistry.

FAQs

Implant-supported teeth require the same level of care as your natural teeth, although flossing techniques may differ slightly. As with natural teeth, regular visits to us for check-ups and maintenance are essential.

As with any surgical procedure, some discomfort is expected. However, most patients are pleasantly surprised by how minimal and brief the discomfort actually is.

Yes, you can—and it often transforms lives. Dental implants eliminate the pain and embarrassment associated with dentures:

  • Your teeth won’t slip or fall out

  • You won’t need to avoid any activities

  • You can usually eat whatever you like

  • There are no clasps or clips required to hold them in place

Anyone who has lost one or more teeth—or even all of them—may be suitable for dental implants. There are very few cases where implants are not appropriate. We will assess your suitability thoroughly before any treatment begins.
