4D Dentistry/Implantology

4D Dentistry Implantology

4D Dentistry is an advanced approach to dental care that goes beyond traditional 3D imaging. While 3D dentistry focuses on creating accurate, three-dimensional models of your teeth and jaws, 4D Dentistry adds the element of time — allowing dentists to study how your teeth, bite, and jaw joints move and change over time.

This innovative method uses cutting-edge digital technology and dynamic scans to:

1.Track real-time jaw movements and bite patterns

2.Predict how treatments will evolve with natural changes

3.Customise dental solutions more precisely

4.Improve comfort, aesthetics, and long-term results

By understanding not just the shape, but also the function and motion of your smile, 4D Dentistry helps us deliver care that adapts to unique, ever-changing dental needs.

Modjaw

MODJAW is a real-time 4D jaw motion tracking technology that integrates dynamic occlusion into digital workflows for precise, patient-specific functional diagnostics and prosthetic planning.

Full mouth rehabilitation on teeth and implants

Full mouth rehabilitation on teeth and implants integrates prosthetic and surgical protocols to restore function, esthetics, and occlusion in complex, multi-unit cases.

Occlusion

Occlusion refers to the dynamic relationship between the upper and lower teeth during function, playing a critical role in stability, function, and long-term prosthetic success.

Implantology

Implantology

Implantology is a cornerstone of modern restorative dentistry, focusing on the surgical placement and prosthetic restoration of dental implants to replace missing teeth. A successful implant treatment requires comprehensive assessment of bone quality and quantity, soft tissue architecture, occlusal dynamics, and patient-specific systemic factors.

Dr. Arman Barfeie incorporates a multidisciplinary approach, combining surgical expertise with prosthetic foresight, to ensure predictable outcomes in both simple and complex cases. His focus on evidence-based protocols, patient-specific customization, and long-term biological integration positions implantology as a functional and esthetic solution for partial and full-arch rehabilitation.

For starters

This course is ideal for starters, offering foundational knowledge and practical skills essential for those new to implantology.

For Implantologists

Peri-Implant Tissue Management

Peri-implant tissue management focuses on shaping and maintaining healthy soft and hard tissues around implants to ensure long-term stability, optimal esthetics, and biological integration.

FP1

FP1

FP1 is a term used in implant dentistry to describe a type of full-arch dental prosthesis. It stands for Fixed Prosthesis Type 1.
In simple terms, an FP1 restoration replaces the visible part of the teeth only — not the gums or jawbone. It looks and functions like natural teeth because it mimics only the crowns (the white part you see when you smile) and leaves the natural gum contour visible or restored minimally.
FP1 is most suitable when a patient:
1. Has lost or needs to replace all teeth in an arch (upper or lower jaw)
2. Still has healthy, stable gums and bone levels
3. Wants a fixed (non-removable) solution that looks very natural

Minimally invasive or non-prep Veneers

Minimally invasive or non-prep veneers represent a highly conservative approach in aesthetic dentistry, designed to preserve enamel integrity while delivering optimal esthetic outcomes. These ultra-thin ceramic restorations (often <0.3 mm) require minimal or no tooth preparation, relying instead on meticulous case selection and precise bonding protocols.

Contraindications include severe discolorations, crowding, or cases requiring significant contour changes.

Dr. Arman Barfeie utilizes digital smile design and guided mock-up techniques to ensure predictable outcomes in non-prep cases, optimizing esthetics while adhering to biomimetic principles. When executed correctly, these veneers offer a functional, durable, and highly esthetic solution with minimal invasiveness.
